Someday I'll wish upon a star
and wake up where the clouds are far behind me
When troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me.

Let those toes breathe for a moment

It was a friday night and I was staring at my vans shoes and it was screaming at me to wear them after a long while. After wearing it for quite some time, I began to feel a bit of discomfort on my right feet but I just shrugged it off. Lo and behold!, the moment I took off the shoe, all I see is redness and huge swell. Like big foot. An ill-fitting shoe is the cause of it apparently. but damn, me love that shoe.

Having swollen feet is such a bummer. Here I am at home for 3 days nursing my dainty feet. I should have listened to my feet, now it's really time that my feet is telling me to get more sandals, instead of all those pumps, ballet flats and heels. Redness and swelling have gone down, must sayang the feet from now on.

Boxing is an unnatural act. Cause everything in it is backwards. You wanna move to the left, you don't step left, you push on the right toe. To move right, you use your left toe. Instead of running from the pain--like a sane person would do, you step into it. -Million Dollar Baby

Grey

At any given moment, the brain has 14 billion neurons firing at a speed of 450 miles per hour. We don't have control over most of them. When we get a chill...goose bumps. When we get excited...adrenaline. The body naturally follows it's impulses, which I think is part of what makes it so hard for us to control ours. Of course, sometimes we have impulses we would rather not control, that we later wish we had. The body is a slave to it's impulses. But the thing that makes us human is what we can control. After the storm, after the rush, after the heat of the moment has passed, we can cool off and clean up the messes we made. We can try to let go of what was.

The scent of friday morning breeze.

A morning jog; pancakes for breakfast is a great way to start off the day!

The kinesthetic vibe in me has been telling me that I need to start moving again, and so I have been dancing, it feels great, to just dance as if nobody's watching and to just dance your ass off. Lyrical. Instead of all that hard-hitting, fast-pumping, booty-shaking moves, lyrical is just a softer, milder and flowy form of movement. A wonderful form of expression, moving without words, creating a story. thy still needs to improve.

Never stifle that urge to dance; lest those hips get rusty!

What are your fears?

We all have fears. Fears that originates from childhood. Fear of water, fear of heights, fear of trying out new things. To some degree, fear protects us, but when fear overwhelms us too much, it asphyxiates us, thus allowing the fear to develop even more. That's when we regress back into our notably comfortable comfort zones. So how do we overcome this fear?

The best way to overcome fear is to do the things you think you cannot do.

The power of Visualization. Takes a whole load off that pretty lil' head. Change: can be a good thing. Allows me to explore and take up new challenges, with an open-mind. Sure, change may be uncomfortable at first, but after a while, I may just get used to it. Passion, determination, thoughtfulness, creativity & doing your homework.

I'd rather laugh too much and get wrinkles rather than harbouring resentment

I've always believed that the saying 'What goes around comes around' is true. It may not happen to one in an instant, but one day it will definitely hit back hard to that person. A terribly vicious cycle it is. What's the point of revenge? Revenge is ineffectual. In life, to be happy: try not to hurt other people, laugh as much as possible, spend as much of a hell of a fabulous time with your love ones and do the things that you really want to do in life.

We are only human.

You'll finally understand how strong a person really is until you get to see them at their weakest moment.

It all starts with a conscious choice

Buesnas noches all, let’s not take the day to day things for granted. Ought to cherish the smaller things in life; let your guard down and simply be carefree. And sometimes we have to quit thinking too much, for worrying makes you a tad too self-conscious, which isn’t always a good thing. Instead of worrying excessively, let’s just go with it.

Lighting up lives

Disasters have been hitting some countries in Asia and Asia-pacific lately: Philippines Manila storm, Indonesia's Padang earthquake, India's Bangalore flash floods. Such heartbreaking news to learn that death tolls are still rising abruptly.

A number of survivors are now sleeping out in the open, feeling cold, terror-stricken, and traumatized that their family members are nowhere in sight. Wandering aimlessly in chest-deep water with bodies trapped in the rubble, decomposing amidst the scorching heat. Imagine if you are just standing there helplessly watching your family member or your friend struggle to keep themselves alive while being trapped under a rubble? I could not help but think: What if I am one of those who are affected? I would not even imagine how that would be like. My heart goes out to all of them. Reminds me of how lucky and fortunate we are to be in Singapore. It would definitely take tremendous amount of courage to heal and build their lives again. Death tolls, please don't rise anymore.

Foxy, thrilling night of black with a touch of red

Lavishly thrilling and foxy Teacher's day celebration @ Shangri La hotel. Beautiful people strutting their stuff, Sumptuous food, though portions were a bit on the small side. The butter rice with lamb chop and steamed chicken was palatable, and yes, the chocolate mousse with raspberry sorbet which was just orgasmically heavenly.

Grooving to the music of thriller, Grease lightning and well-known Nobody nobody but you is a great way to get everyone on the dance floor, and a great workout too! And we are very big on hugs here at Mindchamps.
A night very very well spent! (: (:

He's a father of 2 teenage girls, but he has the energy of a 16 year old!

The guys grooving to the tunes of Grease lightning woohooooo

My favorite part, dancing to Thriller!

Chic and posh.

Let's get loud and just let loose!

What a rocking tuesday and wednesday it has been! Dainty feet's all aching and voice kinda hoarse from all the cheering, but it was well worth it. School program @ yuan ching sec was a fantastic blast: incredible energy, wonderful bunch of 15 year old students. From public speaking skills to the hula hoop game, 'shark attack', getting to other end of the school hall with only 2 feet on the ground at one time as a team, the human mind and great house and indie music blasting hell yeah. best thing is that I learn from them (: Paulene and Irene, I'm up for the next school program!

I lub you!

A very very Happy birthday to my dearest!

Dear tapak Sulaiman, with the most heartwarming smile that never fails to bring my heart beat rate to 201 bpm, you've grown so much in every single way. Quick-witted, sagacious, tougher and stronger than ever. I'm so grateful to be able to walk along this journey with you. Sometimes I ask myself: 'What did I do to deserve someone amazing like you?'
Like I said before, I can't say enough of just how amazing you are.

You deserve only the best.

Gay and vibrant

33

Adapting to a new environment may seem daunting, but I'm adjusting, bearing in mind to keep an open-mind; expect the unexpected they say. My inspiration now is Nick Vujicic, a motivational speaker and director of Life Without limbs. Physically challenged since he was little, but he makes no excuses and live life the way he wants it. Sometimes we wallow in self-pity when we fail, we moan and groan and whine constantly, but this man here gets back up no matter what. Truly amazing.

You'll have the most fun when you're yourself. Let loose and just be who you are with the quirks, whims, warts and all. Staying motivated indeed takes a conscious effort. And sure results don't happen overnight. Hello Neurotransmitters, more Dopamine, Norepinephrine and endorphins please.

Receptivity and the seeds

Listen solicitously

Paint a new canvas

Interrogate the hard questions

Inculcate positive affirmations daily;

Tap into the subconscious mind

Cherry tomatoes in the warm glow of sunset.

Hello Bête Noire, come on in.

Not for long, tie them to a balloon and release it

Need to let Bête Noire go.

Pebbles, twigs, stones and rocks

Maximize space

Authentic beauty; thy embrace.

Yet undermine that much

Breathe

Content; tranquility

Amidst the turbulence

Or that are unnerving

Create the energy; believe in what you’re doing
